Our history
The journey of GHEtool
In 2019, GHEtool was founded during the master thesis of Wouter Peere at the KU Leuven (The SySi Team), and further developed in the research period of Wouter at KU Leuven, in close collaboration with Boydens Engineering.
In 2021, with the support of Boydens Engineering (part of Sweco) and FH Aachen the open-source code was released and we received a recognition by the Journal of Open-Source Software.
In 2023, Enead released the first version of GHEtool suited for professional users GHEtool Pro. In less than a year, GHEtool Pro grew to a users base of 80 users, in Belgium and abroad.
Since 2024, GHEtool Pro has been replace by GHEtool Cloud, the most complete cloud-based borefield sizing tool in the world. Due to its continuous development, GHEtool Cloud is the only tool you’ll ever need to design your borefields with confidence!
